  1. Ardennes maple honey is a rare spring honey, amber in color. Its sweet and subtle flavor brings caramelized, fruity notes with musky aromas. Initially liquid, its texture slowly crystallizes over time, becoming creamy. Maple honey is ideal for coating pancakes, enhancing dishes, and vegetable gratins. It pairs very well with dairy dishes and certain cheeses.

Maple honey is rich in antioxidant polyphenols and contains trace elements (iron, boron, manganese, potassium).

    ABOUT LES ABEILLES DE MALESCOT

A former cereal farm located in the commune of Bouglon in the Lot-et-Garonne region, the Malescot estate has been transformed into an organic beekeeping operation dedicated to creating an ideal environment for bees. This conversion, the result of a long transition, involves daily work selecting honey-producing plants, maintaining plots, and planting hedges, aiming to recreate a natural ecosystem requiring human intervention. The state has also integrated a honey production and processing unit to ensure optimal traceability and limit travel.

  3. #HONEY CRYSTALLIZATION#All honeys crystallize! Contrary to popular belief, this is in no way a sign of poor quality or evidence of added sugar. This natural phenomenon varies, however, depending on the floral origin of the honey and the storage temperature. How to liquefy honey that has become hard or grainy: simply place the jar of honey in a bain-marie, no hotter than 45° C, or it will lose its nutritional qualities. Careful: by doing so, some properties may be altered such as organoleptic qualities, specifically taste and aromas. Therefore, it is always best to keep honey in its natural state!
